The best way to learn and grow is to get to know the businesses around you. We’ll spend some time getting to know everyone in the room before we get started for the day.
Before we dive into the planning, we need to establish what we want to accomplish in the year ahead. Your instructors will walk you through the areas to review for setting your business goals and how your marketing will play a role in reaching your goals.
To reach your goals, your message needs to be clear, concise, and connecting. We’ll talk through messages and work together to craft the message you need to achieve your goals and connect with your customers.
Who are your customers? Where and how do you reach them? This portion of the day will be spent outlining what we need to know about our customers. We will then talk through each communication channel we use in our businesses and how they should be leveraged to find new customers or retain existing clients.

Connecting with your customers on Google, Meta, YouTube and other platforms is not just about being creative it is also about following the rules each platform sets forth.
The third building block of our day is centrally placed because you’ll be inspired and ready to be creative. During this session, we will work on how you tell stories and design campaigns with purpose that allow you to meet your business goals. We’ll walk through the opportunities and pitfalls that often arise during this portion of the planning phase. We’ll also outline the elements that go into storytelling and the assets you’ll need to create and update to spread the message.
Developing your story and crafting campaigns requires that you have identified your innovations and points of distinction and established your brand, along with the standards and policies for using, promoting and protecting these, whether those actions are performed by you, your employees, or external talent. During this session, you’ll learn steps to create, grow and protect your brand and brand assets, your ideas and innovations, the benefits, costs, and risks associated with them, and how the steps should be prioritized in light of the risks, costs, benefits and your goals.
How do you know your marketing is working? During this session, we’ll discuss the places to find or establish your business metrics and how to review them. We’ll outline setting a baseline before you start implementing your plan. We’ll then work together to set your quarterly goals and identify monthly indicators to keep you focused and on track. Additionally, we’ll call out key metrics that may indicate a need to pivot and adjust your plan during the execution phase.
It’s been a busy day and this session is designed to give you time. The time you may not take when you leave to work on a portion of the day’s exercises or site one of the many advisors. This session is designed to support what you need before you head back to the office and start putting your plan into action.
